Police Commission Agenda & Minutes
The Lakeview Police Department is a community oriented police department and to better serve the community we have several programs that allow us to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the citizens.
National Night Out – In association with the National Association of Town Watch, the Lakeview Police Department participates in the National Night Out event every first Tuesday in the month of October. Residents are encouraged to lock their doors and turn their porch lights on and come out to meet their neighbors. For groups that prearrange a meeting location, an officer of the police department can be scheduled to come by and speak to the group regarding crime prevention tips and current trends noted in the neighborhood.
Community Liaison Program – Organizations such as neighborhood home-owners associations, boy scout troops, or other such groups; may request an officer to come by to speak with their group at a specific date and time. An officer can be tasked with meeting with your organization to speak about topics related to law enforcement and the community. You may request an officer to be present to discuss a specific topic such as; neighborhood safety or interacting with the police, etc. Or you may want to have a question and answer sessions to get to know an officer. If you would like an officer to make liaison with your organization all you have to do is email the Chief of Police.
If you would like more information on any of the above programs or would like to suggest a program, feel free to contact us.
